So I decided to take the vette home to Indiana to visit the family from Texas. Left Wednesday morning around 5a and pulled in about 6:30p to the folks place, almost a 1000 miles. I made it in one piece and had a great drive. Was able to wash, clay and put a coat of rejex on her and she cleaned up great. But of course she is going to be filthy when I get back to Austin tomorrow night, but I bought the car to drive. And love the new Nitto Invo's that I put on a couple weeks ago. Anyone else going for a long road trip this summer??
Yep, leaving Illinois Friday for Key West, FL. I put on a good coat of Rejex and hopefully the love bugs will wipe right off like it says they will. I have never used it before so I will see. Hope to have a good trip. I am ready for a getaway.

I love the stuff and it makes it so much easier to wash and get the bugs off. Drive safe and enjoy..

Have done that drive many times. Eight hours to Bowling Green, Kentucky from Chicago, Illinois. Twelve hours from Chicago to get to the Florida border and another twelve hours to get through the state to get through the keys. Watch your speed in the keys on US1... there's only one road and the police are on it.

I am buying my first vette Saturday May 29th. Wife and I are flying from Chicago to California and then driving 2k miles back to Chicago over Memorial Day weekend.

We have several road trips planned for this year. First one will be to the upper pennisula of Michigan. Second trip will be to San Francisco, then up the pacific coast highway to Seattle, back through Glacier National Park and Yellowstone, then home to Iowa. Third trip will be to St. Lous and Memphis. The Vette is a great car for road trips!! Good mileage and great comfort!!
In July, wife and I are headed from AZ to Beartooth Pass, WY. Then on to the Black Hills. Three thousand miles plus. First road trip in the new ride. Can't wait.
Thanks for sharing your trip, and reminding many of us we have a fun summer ahead!
I feel like a virgin, mine has never been further than Indianapolis, a one hour drive from here. Though having a wife and son makes the 300C seem a bit more practical on road trips! I have debated a solo run to Chicago to see old college friends, maybe this summer. I still remember a drive up to Niagara Falls area in my GTO, a great road trip I'll always have in memory.
We have already put 4500 miles on our new GS on trips and have about 5,000 more miles planned for the year.
There is nothing better than a Corvette road trip!!
trips from maine to south carolina, maine to ashville north carolina, biweekly trek to ct. bought it to drive on trips, milage is great but who buys a corvette for milage. rejex works great for the bugs, not much help with the rocks though. a daily driver after the snow melts. we buy cars to drive, wear out then buy another one. thats fun too.

I think I kinda like that feeling "like a virgin" LOL.. For mine is mostly garaged but Dallas would be the farthest I drive it. OH and Mr. Movinlow happens to make that great time cuz he flies like an eagle .. he has friends in lowww places.. wearing that badge ya know?
My next trip will be to 'Austin' and he can dismiss my ticket anyday!
Thanks for the tip on the wax.. sure need it w/those bugs stuck like tatooes in my front
Sounds like a great trip. I have a trip coming up soon....VERY soon. But on another of my weekend toys. Heading to the Rockies for a week on the bike below. We'll be close to 4,000 miles in eight days.
