Default broken key, anyone else

Well it happened today, my first key broke a while back and today the second just seemed to break on its own. I went to the local home depot to see if there was a sleeve or plastic cover that could prevent it from simply falling through the key ring, but to no avail.

Is this common for corvette keys or im a just double unlucky?

If this happned to you, how did you fix it ??

Cut the rest of the plastic off and drill a hole in the key itself. A big advantage to this is that it makes the key more slim, will be more comfortable in your pocket or wallet.

Howdy!

All is well, thanks... the little one is doing fine. She's just 2 and a half and is already in love with the Vette. We had a bunch of cars in the driveway recently and my wife asked her which was her favorite car... she looked at all the cars, then turned around towards the garage and pointed directly at the Vette. Then she said, "my car!" Not the first time she's done this, and there hasn't been any coaching from me... and we have a silver Mustang GT convertible and silver MazdaSpeed3 in the garage too... she always picks the Corvette... and she hasn't even ridden in it yet... she's gonna be a Vette girl, I can see it now.

And, oh yeah, we have a second girl coming later this summer... so this means I'm gonna have to buy another Corvette, one for each girl.

AORoads, how's by you? Hope all is well!

You could try superglue. But that's a lost key just waiting to happen.

I suggest getting a new key. They're only about $7. Use key blank B-106 (see photo). Available most anywhere they make car keys.

And it's flat, so I keep a spare in my wallet.

B-106P has the plastic head, if that's what you want.
