I had an aftermarket nav system installed (Kenwood DNX9140) and added the rear camera. Works great and you can even engage while driving. I looked into having a factory nav installed but ws told no rear camera for the Vette. Good luck.
This should be helpful when you have to park Corvette between two cars. Is this reason you are getting one? One for front and one for back?
See "do you have trouble parking your Corvette".

Where did you mount the camera and what type of mount did you use?

Eeesh DNX9140. King of freezing, glitching, 20 second between screen intervals and more than occasionally reset equalizers. Well, it could be worse. You could have bought the DNX9960 like I did, and realized that it's even worse.
I got from mine Coastaltech and it is the best one I have ever used. I have another model on my lexus IS and this one blows it away. It has the depth grid on it and let me tell you it really works. The night vision on it is great and helps with backing into the garage and into parking spaces, so you don't curb your wheels or the smash the back of the car. Easy to install and picture quality is ridiculous. My kids always ask to put the "spy cam" on while we zip around town! Here is the link:
Here is my backup cam setup. I used a Boyo VTL425 though it is run through my Pioneer Z110BT. It cost $118 shipped. I got from a seller on the big auction site..
It mounts over your existing license plate frame. They have other version that is built into a frame as well. I chose black but they are also available in chrome.
It includes a long cable which will reach to the front of the car. The cable has a removable plug which makes for a smaller hole. A grommet is also included to insure a water tight seal. The camera can be adjusted up or down by loosening a pair of set screws.
I am very pleased with the quality of this camera!
OK. The Boyo seems good. How does it hook up to the Factory NAV unit?
As I indicated, I ran mine into an aftermarket head unit. I just did a quick search and it looks like you would need that 360 Lockpick in order to get a video input into the factory nav.. With that, you would just connect the boyo camera into the video input wire on the Lockpick and connect another wire to your reverse light. I will dig some more and if I come across anything else, I will post it here.
I'm running Lockpick 360 for the Vette w/ backup camera, I purchased it from the parts for sale in this site and have had 0 issues since my install in January. The benefits of lockpick is:
1. Backup Camera and override so you can view at any time
2. IPOD input, you can view Movies as well
3. Navigation override, you can put in a direction while the car is moving.
I must admit I done a lot of searching and the youtube vids show it as a simple install, it is not, you do have to dismantle the Nav unit to replace a ribbon cable, instructions were good though. I believe the previous owner wasnt as confident and thats why he sold it as unused.
Sorry to hear about the problems you're have had. Only complaint I have is occasional IPhone sync with head unit. So far everything is fine. Good luck with finding a unit that works for you.

Is your view reversed? I was able to adjust the display for proper reverse view.
I'm just wondering how you all parked back in the 60's & 70's did you have the G/F get out and guide you like they do at the Drag Races when the Top Fuel cars back up and try to stay in the burn out track
