Im looking to buy a C6 and love the bold wide looks of the Zo6 over the standard C6 .
Is the Z51 C6 a rough ride or just heavy sway bars ?
My current 99 c5 has road race hyper coil leaf springs and poly bushings and its fine for me , i just want to know how harsh it is before getting a Zo6 .
I dont mind a solid ride , just not a harsh one .
BTW: Looking for an 07 Zo6 in the 40k range in dark blue with black or graphite interior .

I Love the ride.....solid... but does just fine on most roads.....it is made to run .........and you are right on with the bold looks.... you won't be sorry.....I did however like my older C-5 full sports seats better for the longer haul......what with the air bags and lumbar supports etc...
Z06 would be fine for a DD as long as you aren't that fussy over a stiffer ride. They aren't Cadillacs and you know that from owning a C5. My Z51 is driven almost everyday and I don't mind the ride at all.

Here is one of those different strokes for different folks things....my last C-5 had two tops..I never took the original top off..... so I wasted the cost of the smoke grey top. So not having a targa top on my Z is not a problem for me..........

No problem for me, either. Many reasons. I used to drive convertibles mostly, but now with the Vegas heat, a couple of bouts of skin cancer, and the concern of parking an open car in a public place, I'd just as soon have a fixed roof. My Z06 is just fine.
BTW - back to the original post, how about a GS? Wide body with a bit softer suspension, and lower cost.
i thought so after i traded the z i was surprised how much more comfortable and enjoyable the reg c6 ride was.the z isn't terrible but noticeably stiffer
After reading and talking to ppl about the A6 tranny and being an auto guy for the last 10 years , i decided to go with the 6 speed but im not to go back to stroking gears in anything less than a z06 .
