Default mp3 jack
Does anyone else think it's stupid that my brand new corvette doesn't have a mp3 jack BECAUSE it has navigation?

one of the many idiosyncrasies of GM and the Corvette. it is fairly easy to tap into the XM harness and give you the connection you are looking for.

Took me 30 minutes and $10 in parts + the iphone

I want to add this to my car but I see there are tons of options.

I want to add an auxiliary input, but have the best sound quality as well.

Anybody want to give me advice or options?

Frank- if you have the xm
module the hack will work great and it sounds excellent. I have an xm subscription and all I do is tune to channel 0 and plug my
iPhone in and away I go. It sounds great.

You would have needed to wait for a 2011 model year Corvette to have the aux jack from the factory.

There are 7 or 8 ways (of varying expense and difficulty) to add it aftermarket.

I wish I could walk you through it but All I did was locate the XM module - Above the Drivers rear wheel well in the trunk. you have to pull the carpet back.

My friend did the rest by soldering a AUX plug to the XM module took him 5 minutes. Then we ran the cable by the Center console and all was good.

Im sure someone here has the write up
