Default Getting Widebodied!!!!!!!!

UPDATED 6/17/10!!!!! COMPLETED IN 4DAYS!!!

Well I finally decided to do it. After many times of should I just sell the car and start over to well maybe I should just buy a Z06 to this shouldn't b such a hard decision!! LOL. But after my rear diff needed replaced it made the decision a whole lot easier

Would it make sense to just buy a used Z06.........yes.
BUT.....then I would loose all the money already invested in the car. I already have the power a Z06 has plus I don't go to the track so I can never use the full potential of a car like that anyway........Would still love to have one but financially just don't want to take that hit and I LOVE the wide body. O and like the auto for those long LA traffic jams (gotta love em)

Well I love to take the top off.......why don't I just get a GS. Well right now that would even be a bigger hit finanically and I would be back to square one lol. Not worth it to me plus I really really don't like the GS fenders So that was out of the question anyway.

I don't plan on selling this vette unless I have to so I'm just doing what makes me happy Not saying this will be my last vette but someday I would really love to have multiple sports cars ex....viper, FGT, so on and so on.

O and no Z06 badges!!! I'm a badge hater, even more so if it's a LIE!!

What front fascia are you going to use? All of the widebody front fenders (Caravaggio and GM Grand Sport or Z-06) require a wider front.

Personally, I used the Caravaggio front, GS front fenders, Caravaggio rear fenders (no side vent like the Z-06), and Lingenfelter rear fascia.

I had the body shop smooth out and body paint the GS fender badges and then placed Lingenfelter badges on them - but the car is equipped with a Lingenfelter 403 ci engine.

you know that WB is the way to go. you already have a car that you love AND know. no question that it is less expensive to keep and alter. post up those pics when it's being done and finished...or else

Was some the body shop taking their time and also I got shorted some parts in a Kit from a vendor and body shop had to order the missing parts.

Fenders fit fine.

I may do the same! If I do I will the Grand Sport kit and all GM parts!!! I have 2008 and there's no change in motor only panels and wheels and tires. I keep my 08, turn it into a GS. Just need to save the extra 8 or 9K to do it...

Yeah I would love to see some pics too. I am going to use the GM widebody facia (same as a stock Z06, GS, ZR1)

But your's sound like it is very unique.

Glad I haven't seen any haters........yet. haha.

Dropped off the car yesterday. I took it to Jason at AirHead Kustoms. Very cool guy and has a great shop with some rediculous cars in it!! He seemed very confindent that he would be able to get it all done by Thursday!! I couldn't believe it also it was actually cheaper then he originally quoted me and he is going to do some lil extra things as well. I highly reccomend the guy so far...........but we will see how it turns out. I can't wait to see the pics he is going to send me of the process. I will keep you guys posted

I put my widebooty on about a month ago and I love it! I still have the stock quarter panels and rims/tires if I need to change it back.
