I use a good car wash then dry with "absorber" Last step for me is the use of Meguiar's NXT wax which is a polymer type of wax vs Carnuba. Also use a microfiber cloth to remove the wax. If this does not work you might have to use a more abrasive coat prior to the use of NXT. Hope this helps.

Make a mix of 50/50 water and plain white vinegar in a spray bottle. Go over car with that to remove water marks. Then wash and wax (I use NXT too). That's it.

I have read several post that say to use water and vinegar. Not sure of the exact mixture but it does work, if no one else responds with more detail try a search.
Previous post got there while I was replying.

To remove the water spots, I've had good results with vinegar and water. about 50/50 mix first. Good Luck.

I use Menzenra Sealer on a preprared Vette and no water spots when drying, it also helps I use soft water when washing

Thanks for the reply's guys. It looks like I'll try the 50/50 water and vinegar route.

I can't get that to work. Is there some sort of secret trick? Water + vinegar in a spray bottle then I rub it around and dry it off. Did not work for me.

A clay bar will often take care of them.

vinegar, wd40, and clr all work if the water spot is etched into the clear coat. Wet sanding will take it out when it's etched into the paint. good luck..

Start with a good polish, like Zaino.

Then I use Meguiars ultimate detail spray to remove water spots, bird crap, bugs, etc. inbetween washings. Works great.

Tried WD-40, water/vinegar, cleaners and nothing works. Has anyone tried bug/tar cleaner or Scratch-X?

no offense broh, but clay bars are for removing contaminants from the clear coat, not water spots....rarely do they work on any kind of water spot.

I had some bad ones when I took delivery of my c6... the stubborn ones I finally removed with Zaino Fusion clear coat swirl remover.. did it by hand spot by spot.. pretty easy.

If you're going to use vinegar on your paint, be sure to wash it afterwards!! And preferably wax too, even if it just some of that quick detail stuff....
