When ordering, I didn't know you could delete the windshield wipers - I didn't even know it was an "option"! So, does that mean the wiper motor is gone too or just the wipers? And that passes inspection?!!
There are no wipers, no wiper motor, no washer fluid tank, and no wiper stalk. BTW, I just checked my window sticker and I was mistaken - RPO WSW is "windshield wiper delete". It eliminates the wipers, motor, tank, and stalk and gives a $135 credit on the sticker.
With the more than 500,000 miles that I have driven Corvettes over the past 20 years and 6 months, I estimate that I have driven Corvettes more than 20,000 miles in the rain - that's conservative.
In 1990 I drove a new C4 from Norfolk, Virginia, to Maine, and then from Maine to Dallas - all in the rain.
These are great cars, people should enjoy them more. I learned more than 50 years ago that tomorrow is promised to no one. I, for one, am not going to be one of those people who, on my death bed, say, "I wish I'd driven the Corvette less."
You seriously never drive your cars in the rain? They're not made of sugar, they won't melt.
This photo shows two Corvettes that drove through rain. Notice on is a ZR1. I was following in my GS. I was amazed that the ZR1 didn't melt!! I figured it would melt before mine. It is more expensive. When it didn't melt, I was relieved! Skullbussa, we live in Arizona!!
The windshield wipers worked on both cars! Isn't that amazing?! What might be more amazing to some... We didn't give a hoot about the rain! We were having too much fun!
Hi all
Mine get used ALL to often It seems like every time i wash the car it will
RAIN the next time i drive it. Washed and Cleaned Friday night
Took it out Saturday rained twice.
I hit my wiper switch by accident one day and was confused for a bit about what was happening.. So I suppose they do work (well at least they did 3 months ago).
That reminds me.. There's probably the factory wiper fluid still in my car. I need to figure out a way to remove it to save some weight off the front end...

Unfortunately, some on here would tell you that they believe theirs would melt...or the value of their car would be lost. Others, like me, will tell you the value of the car comes from the enjoyment of a daily driver. The GT1 spent the day in the rain yesterday...and it still started today!

We've got only about 130k in Corvettes, all in the last 10 years.
