Default Telescoping wheel

Why is it that no matter how many time I set the driver's seat to my settings, the telescoping wheel never returns to the "sweet" spot ?? It stays in the easy-exit position.

Is this beyond the capabilities of the Corvette's system ? Or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

My 09 C6 works fine. It retracts when I shut the car off and comes back to driving position once I start the car. I set up everything and then hit my Driver 1 button to memorize it.

Mine is working fine now, but the module had to be replaced. It was doing crazy things on my 06 C6 A6 F55.

I would try resetting your driving position and resetting the drivers button first.

Old C5 trick-

Start the car and run the column full forward and then full rearward, six times.
Then reset your memory positions.
Sometimes eliminates gremlins in the column memory system.

Had to do that about a month ago on our 2009, been working fine since then.

Are you using the same fob # as the memory location you have the steering wheel position tied to? Meaning, fob #1 works with memory button #1 on the door and all of its settings. Fob #2 works with memory button #2 on the door. If you program your settings in to button #1 and then get in the car with fob #2, they won't return to your program settings unless they are also programmed to position #2.

Lets say your memory settings were tied to fob 2. The wife has fob 1 with her and she goes for the ride with you. FOB 1 takes over if both are in the car. It happened to me and it took me a few minutes to figure it out.
