Default Interior help, please.

I am new to Corvettes, and am in the process of liquidating an Infinity '03 G35 and a '72 Truimph TR6. I'm looking at a sliver C6 with a black interior. Having had several other cars with black interiors, and having seen a silver 2010 on this site for sale with a black and red interior (very sweet but out of my $$ range), I think that I'd want to get some red into the interior to lighten it up. I asking for some help in sources as to what interior pieces are available (new or used) and sources. Thanks for your input and thoughts.

I changed my interior from Ebony to 2 tone and while its not that expensive unless you start getting leather pieces intead of stock. I actually did the stock changeover and then had the pieces done in leather little by little. I did buy several of the pieces in the C6 Parts for sale section and saved alot of money. The new stuff I got from Gene at GMPARTSWAREHOUSE (seat skins plus a few of the smaller pieces. If ya have any specfic questions feel free to ask. I did it all myself except the seat skins and guage faces.

You can change the center console lid, the door pulls, to red for little money. Most of the forum vendors offer these two mods, check Mid America Motorworks, ZIP, RPI, etc.

Here are a few changes that I made to my all ebony interior using Down South Vettes leather work. They are a forum member here and post under DS Vettes. I've added the steering wheel, the center console cover, the shift and brake boots and handles, the door pulls in red and the sun visors in black leather with red stitching. The only limitation to what you could do is going to be your imagination and your budget.

I'm in complete agreement with Paul (talon90) - Down South Vettes all the way. Gerardo and his team are well-known here for their high-quality, handcrafted Corvette products as well as for their first-rate customer service. For what you're looking to do, there's no one better than DS Vettes, period. Here's a link to their web site: www.dsvettes.com .

Forum member Tracey Richardson (forum name is TrayC6) has a beautiful 2010 Grand Sport in Blade Silver with the ebony and red interior. Since taking delivery, she has added quite a few interior upgrades from DS Vettes. If you're looking for ideas, Tracey's car is an excelent one to look at for inspiration. You may want to send Tracey a PM and ask her to send you some pictures of what she has done.

One last thing - keep in mind that you can add red to an ebony interior not only with red leather, but also with red stitching. DS Vettes will make anything you want in your choice of color(s) (leather and stitching) as well as, in many cases, your choice of stitching style. The options are endless.

Looking good Paul. I forgot to mention (how unlike me) All my leather goodies are also from DS Vettes. They are hands down the absolute best. I had probelms with quality and customer service with the other leather vender but have never been disappointed with Gerado. Good luck God I love my car.

Thanks for the help. Any ideas on seat covers or recovering the seat or used/salvage seats?

DSV can do seat covers any way you want them. Just choose your leather and stitching colors, stitching type, and Gerry will take it from there.
