I saw a guy on the forum maybe 9 months ago who made a mount so his plate would fit in the C6 grill (bent the plate and such). Im looking for a similar application. Any help?
Dan, sorry you have to trudge through the crap to get an answer to your question!
Top Flight Reproductions makes a very nice front plate mount, permanent or removeable. If your like me, and enjoy DIY projects, you could make your own. I used some 24ga sheet metal, did alot of trial and error fitting, and ended up with something that is indistiguishable from Top Flight's once it's on the car. Took alot of fitting and modifying to get it right though. Either way, just add a body color frame from GM, and your good to go.
My first choice would be no plate at all, but some of us are unlucky enough to live in a jurisdiction that doesn't tolerate law breakers! http://topflightrepro.com/corvette-plate-brackets.shtml

Oh come on, most LEO have more important things to worry about than a Corvette without a front plate. That doesn't mean they tolerate law breakers, they just have the priorities in order.
You are right on the Top Flight license plate mount, it is by far one of the best I have saw.

Easy to say when your in a state that doesn't require one. And no, the LEO's may not pull you over for no front plate, but in my area there are a few cities that will stop you for 2 mph over, burnt bulb, insp sticker, etc, etc. And you can bet your azz they WILL tack on the extra for no plate! And smile as they do it!
The governments local and state are short on funds $$$ so t hey are doing everything possible however ridiculous to bring in more $$$ so police won't be laid off here as well as losing other services here.
You can also go for the Remote show n go plate.

I live in Wisconsin and they do require a flight license plate and I choose to not have one. I am not trying to start an argument, I am just saying I have several friends who are LEOs and this is coming from them to. AnyWho I am sorry to hear that your state is so strict on the front plate law.
Not arguing, just lealous!
I wish you continued luck! I ran no front plate on my C5's for 7 years. Finally got stopped for "loud exhaust".
Would have walked away free had it not been for the lack of a plate. It was just more than he could bare!
I bought one of the Top Flight Reproduction ft plate holder.
It fit perfect and very easily removed for parking at shows or cruise nights.
As most will say, I would rather not run a front plate. But,
Calif. needs the money and I know a few Vette owners that were stopped and ticketed for no other reason than the front plate.

Not so. At the beginning of May I was teaching my Grandson to drive my Z since he was going to take it to the Prom and had never driven a manual transmission. We were on the local Interstate driving in the right hand lane at the speed limit when a trooper coming the other way made a U Turn through the median and pulled into the left emergency lane and started to acclerate. When the trooper pulled out of the median my grandson touched the brakes which with the high performance brake pads slowed the car down very quickly. When he saw the trooper was staying in the emergency lane he let off the brake and got back up to the speed limit but a few cars passed us while he was doing that. When the trooper got to the next turn around he slowed almost to a stop. When we passed him he pulled back out and behind us and turned on the lights. The first question he asked my Grandson was "Why did you slow down?" My Grandson gave what I thought was a pretty good answer. "I was just being careful." Then the trooper said, "The reason I stopped you is because the car does not have a front plate." After a bunch of discussion he let us off with a warning.
Afterward my Grandson told me he wanted me to make sure the front plate was on the car when he took it to the Prom. He didn't want the night spoiled by getting stopped for that again.

I guess I am lucky (knock on wood) to live in an area where they are not out looking for front plate violations.
