Default What are the best non run flat tires?

My original run flats are noisy and really rough. Its also time for a change, so I am going to get a non run flat tire. I love the michelin ps2 but they are such a waste of money. What is the best most affordable non run flat tire for the vette??

I have no idea what is the best, but I'm taking a longshot with the "new" Firestone Wide oval Indy 500's. It has taken 2 months to get them, but due for arrival on Wednesday. I'll have them mounted soon after and give a review on them. I'm pretty sure that they will have no trouble being more quiet than my existing Goodyear supercar RF.

Default Non Run Flats

Purchased a new set of BF Goodrich T/A G-Force KDW Radials..man what a great difference..also carry a flat repair kit along with a portable plug in compressor....One year now, no problems at the tires are great..never have to use any tire junk on them..naturally black all the time..

I think Toyo T1Rs are a good tire for normal use at a decent price.

Just installed a set last night on my wifes Vette, they come highly recommended. I know have them on two of my cars. Plus, the price is ridiculous.

I recently installed the Hankooks also and really happy with them. Compared to the GYs the ride is a lot quieter and smoother and price was great from Tire Rack.

Best how?

Traction?
Wear?
Gas mileage?
Cost?
Availability?

Pick one, maybe two. No one tire will be best at everything.

The best tires for these cars are the PS2 runflats, imo.

But they're such a waste of money.

$60,000 for the car, but $500-800 difference in tire costs is a "waste of money". Right.

I have these as well... pretty good performance at a great price... only 2 months in so I can't vouch for wear... but they are loud - concrete surface at highway speed will practically drown out the by-passed NPP exhaust...
