I live in Kansas City, Mo. I'm to shaky to put on a set of GM splash guards on my 08 Convertible. Does anybody know of a shop that would do this at a reasonable price?
very easy mod... nothing really to be concerned about... get help if you feel you need it, but as my first mod it really opend my eyes as to how easy the car is to work on......
If you want to come down to Wichita, KS some weekend, I'll put 'em on for you. I just installed them on my '09 Coupe. Took me about two hours, but I also detailed the wheels while I had them off.
did mine in like 1/2 hour....not too happy with the fit of the passenger rear so I had to mod it a little. The other 3 fit perfect.
Hardest part was taking the rear wheels off. Jacking the car was simple I went and purchased a $50.00 AC delco jack that was on sale for $20.00 and positioned it under the jacking point on the car. Anyone that says you need some fancy $200 low profile jack and funky pucks is wrong.

After reading all the excellent posts and especially the one Black08 did, I ordered a set of GM Splash Guards. I put them on today. I was a bit apprehensive, I have early Parkinson's and am a little shaky. Anyway, I took the leap and they came out great! Great instructions and using the correct drill bit and taping the rears in place and then drilling did the trick. I replaced Ed's splash guards. I had them since Oct 07, they did a fine job, but just don't have the looks of the GM set. Anyway, thanks again to all the forum members for their input
I just ordered mine from a forum vendor. Hmmm...so you have to take the wheels off. It is my understanding that you also have to drill an additional hole for the rear ones. I am also told that there is a shortage of these things. A 3 to 4 week delivery. Ugh!

Nw sweat on either item. Clean the wheels while you have them off (only the rears need to be removed but I did all 4) and tape the rears in place before drilling. You are drilling into the plastic wheel liner - not the body - so its a snap!
I got mine the other day from Gene..the fronts took about 5 mins to install four clips on each side. The rear took about 20 mins to install. Taking the rear tires off is most of the work.
