Wife has #1 fob and you have #2 and you are both in the car. FOB #1 rules
I am not sure if the DIC is fob independent. What I mean is the DIC controls the movement of the seat when you start the car and when you get out. Maybe settings are different for different fobs.
my driver seat does not always work, tried to reset it,still only moves forward some of the time .any answeres for this
Although you'll get plenty of responses on this, there is no definitive answer. It is not common, but does happen on a few cars. In most cases, the seat will return to its proper position if you move it a bit manually first. It is NOT the seat module, although replacing that will temporarily seem to fix it (it is the resetting of the seat that causes it to work for a while). Similarly, disconnecting and reconnecting the harness will fix it for a while. I've had this on two cars, and I've been around the block on it.
I think the problem is the seat motor itself (it forgets where it is), because that would cause the exact symptoms shown. However, no dealer can get authorization to try that fix under warranty.
If anyone from GM really knows more, I'm all ears.

Several other things to try:
Disconnect the battery ground for 10 minutes or more to let the car reboot, in many cases solves these electronic gremlins.
Also sometimes re-indexing the seat might work. This worked on my C5. Simply manually run the seat throughout all its buttons ranges of motion to reset the limits. Then re-memorize your settings.
