I just installed the NPP's in my 09 as well. The vacuum line attaches to a vacuum line port on the back of your manifold. My hand looked like hamburger attempting to snap the end off the port. To this day I still do not have it on. However, a line runs from that to the box mounted in the compartment at the rear of the car.
For LS2 engines the vacuum connection is on the front of the intake manifold and is easly accessed.
Hey, thanks for the help. Those two links were just what I needed. I feel confident the task can be completed once I start. I was just worried that I would get half way through then, run into a problem that I could not solve at home. I may be just over thinking it. - When I decide to do a new mod, that's all I can think about till it's done.

Thanks. I added an NPP system to my 06 A6 a year and a half ago. Below is the link to my install if you are looking for more info on what to plan for.
Thanks, Dave O. Your install link was helpful. I usually put the car on jack stands at about 17". I wasn't sure that was going to high enough. You said you did yours at about 15", so I should be ok.
You can use the homelink. I have mine programmed to open and close the valves. You have to use one button on the homelink for each (open & close) ...works like a charm.......
