I don't get the whole black on black on black thing... a guy down the street from us has a blacked out Chrysler which our neighbors have described as "creepy", "sinister" and "a crime looking for a place to happen."
You just summarized the main reasons why one would do a black out...
When neighbors have described your car as "creepy", "sinister" and "a crime looking for a place to happen." Then you know you have achieved your goal!!!
The last thing I want to do is evoke neighbors opinions of pink bunnies and all things good and happy when they see my car!! If you want that get a Camry...everyone approves.
...now you just have to add an exhaust and make it loud as hell to scare them audibly also!

Black is nice, but I would want a 2 tone interior in that case.
Gotta love a "murdered" Vette! The price of the Spyder wheels got me thinking. I just ordered a set of wheels/tires though Corvette wheels and am going to be selling my original chrome Z06 wheels. I was thinking of asking $500, now I may think about a little more! We will see, I'd rather just find a buyer sooner than later

how about a lime green convertible VX bug with a white interior? That'll suffice for the joy-joy-happy-happy feeling too
I had a black C4 with black GS rims and always felt that was a bit too one color. I do like black cars, but I prefer my current look which is black with comp gray wheels - they have just enough color and contrast against the blackness of the car and tinted windows, but not shiny chrome which also isn't my thing. Just sinister enough to give the neighbors some pause but not completely scare them
