Is this your car's original head unit? Did it just die? I assume you've already tried ejecting and then reinstalling the DVD. Is it possible that the DVD somehow got damaged? Maybe try going to a dealer and asking to try the DVD from an in-stock Corvette (those in other model Chevys won't work) in order to zero in on the problem.

All good ideas, maybe try the map DVD from another C6 owner in your area. If he's got the newer 2 DVD set, use the disc that he doesn't need right now. Just be prepared to buy him a new DVD if your machine somehow damages his or won't give it up.
The NAV is coded with the VIN# so you'll need a dealer to install it should you replace it. Do you know anyone else with a NAV disk that you can try in your car in case its a bad disk? You can also try to reboot the nav itself by pulling its fuse, waiting 30 seconds and re-installing. I'm thinking you've got a bad disk or a dirty laser lens.
The original deck skipped on the CD, they replaced the deck with a scratched one. The one that isn't working is the third one. Its about a month old but the car is out of the 3-36000 warranty. I talked to the dealer and they are going to try to deal with it Monday or Tuesday. I wont pay for a new deck so I would like to find out who sells the service parts.
It works now. I have been in and out of town and let the car sit for a month of so. I took the car for a spin last night, just for grins I tried the nav and low and behold it works. The dealer said the warrenty was for 12 months after they put the new radio in. I sure hope it quits soon.
