Question : Do you guys drive it with the wild setting on all the time in the city or only at times? Do popos give you a hard time?
Apart from the slight discoloration of the tips, are there any downsides to this?
Am loving it, takes about 10 minutes including the zero drain install ... big thumbs up to the vendor here Southerncarparts and also to JWMotoring came in 1 day fastest shipping i've EVER had in my life, will defn do more biz with both.
It is NOT too loud...none of the police will care... I drive with it open.. and if the "other half" is with me, it gets closed... Drone is different... If you have a Auto... and let it shift... at 1200-1600 you get drone, under load... With a stick, you just stay in a lower gear to avoid drone , keeping the RPM's over 2000...
I drive with mine in the "Wild Mode" all of the time. The sound emanating from the NPP's is sweet music to my ears.
The only time I find the "Wild Mode" offensive is when I'm in 6th gear at 55-60MPH going up a hill. When my 2010 GS starts to lug a bit the drone gets real loud with the windows up.
the police do not care. i live in Chicago and pass several every day.
for the most part, i drive on the highway and around town in wild mode. occasionally, i get bored and put the exhaust into mild mode so that i can hear the sound change as the butterfly valves open under acceleration around 3800 rpm.
my wife prefers the exhaust in wild mode when she drives.

yeah, me too. I like listening to the tunes on the highway. When the engine starts to come under a slight load going up inclines, the Wild starts to get just a little loud, almost obnoxious, that's when I go Mild.
That's probably one of the neatest things I've ever had on a car.
