First time Corvette owner. The car's battery will be disconnected for 6 months. I do this with my 2002 Buick and have no issues, except to reset the clock when I reconnect. Will my 2007 Corvette be any different?
You'll need to reset the window indexing - that's all except maybe the clock.
Close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done.
This is called resetting of the window indexing or power window initialize and is in the owner's manual. See page 2-17 of the 2005 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2006 owner’s manual, page 87 of the 2007 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2008 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2009 owner's manual, ,or page 3-18 of the 2010 owner's manual. -JFP
I would not disconnect the battery. I would use a battery tender. Most C-5 and C-6 owners will use a tender. Disconnecting will lose your presets. Also from what I hear it's better for the battery to use a tender then to sit unused for that period of time.
I too, would recommend a battery tender (C-TEK) as opposed to disconnecting. Whenever I disconnect my battery, I lose most of my presets, and have to re-index the windows.
However, when I go away on a trip and the house will be empty for long periods of time, I prefer to disconnect the battery. I don't like leaving things like a battery tender running when no one will be around.
If I don't use my C6 for say a WEEK with the battery connected, and then I connect a battery tender, it will take about 4 hours to bring the battery up to snuff.
If I don't use my C6 for say a MONTH with the battery DISconected, and then I connect a battery tender, it will take about 2 hours to bring the battery up to snuff.
The above example assumes an indooor heated garage.

I have a switch on the negative terminal of my battery. Since I pretty much only get the vette out over the weekend I disconnect the battery when its not in use. All I ever have to reset is the window indexing and clock. I've been doing this for over 3 1/2 years now.
