I have an 07 C6 coupe and I will need to buy some new tires. Currently have the original Goodyear run flats. I have checked into the Michelin PS2's. But I have not had very good luck with Michelins before (Not PS2's). Any suggestions?
I have the Firestone Wide Ovals in factory C6 sizes and like them very much. Definitely better than the factory tires and only around $1000 for a full set. Be sure to get a four wheel alignment.
Only exception on Firestones is if you want to drive them in cold weather. Lack of grip below 32 degrees is quite noticable, even on perfectly dry pavement. If its a DD year around, the Michelin A/S tire might be a better choice.
Just put on 4 Firestone run-flats and they are definately a big change from the GY. They are extremely quiet and smooth riding. I haven't noticed any handling loss but I don't really push the car anywhere near its limits. Big improvement in overall ride quality!

Good point: The FS are a summer tire not considered all season. It has very nice large tread blocks. I just put them on my C6 and like them very much. Good deal , good handling and better ride than OEM GY's, plus less noise.

Another vote for Firestone Firehawks. They handle BETTER than the Goodyear supercar tires according to the G meter on the DIC. The SOTP feel is different and softer entering the turn which leads some people to think they don't handle as well but they actually grip better. You just have to get used to the different feel.
Cold weather performance is going to be significantly reduced with any tire. Don't expect to find any tire that gets great handling below 50 degrees.
Installed a set of BF Goodrich T/A G-Force KDW Radials last year, not a day goes by when I don't pat myself on the back for the purchase. Compared to the run flats, they are 100% quieter, great ride and traction..even on wet weather..
Also, you never have to use any kind of tire dressing!!!

I always end up with Michelins eventually on all of my cars, most of the time replacing Goodyears. I would go with the PS2 ZP if you are in a warmer climate or the A/S PS2 ZP if you take trips in colder climates. One reason I would not buy a Firestone is that it says "DO NOT REPAIR" on the tire which means a nail will cost you a tire, even prorated if you have a road hazard warranty.
Performance - if it works on a ZR-1 that more tire than I'll ever need.
Just got my Michelin PS2 ZP's on yesterday and took a little road trip today. Tires are noticeably quieter. Very pleased with the ride and how the car handles. Bought my tires from Tire Rack and was a very smooth professional transaction. They were very 1st rate to deal with.
I've already got my form for the rebate.
I love Costco, and spend a lot of $$$ there. But their price for Michelins
PS2 tires out the door pricing was almost $300 more than another competitor. Their service is terrific, but the pricing is high, even with the $60 off coupon they have every so often.
