Audio Upgrades
Greetings all,
I've started a upgrade project on my '09 coupe and wanted to get some opinions from you guys. I've already installed the head unit so next will be the amp and speakers.
I'm planning on epoxying a bracket beneath the carpet in the area between the back speakers and bolting the amp to the bracket through the carpet. Any worries on getting the carpet to stick back down?
For the connections to the amp, I was going to run the wires along the passenger side door seal and along the carpet edge to the amp. Would there be an easier way? Do you think I will need any type of noise filter on the RCA or power cables?
I've seen several installs that have sound dampening strips in the doors (and I assume b-pillar area). Is this really necessary? How about using foam baffles around the speakers instead?
