To answer the questions that have been asked since my last post.

The previous dealer replaced the latch assembly and a switch #19120624. Inspected and found toneau cover out of alignment. Aligned and lubed latch striker.

My dealer replaced a switch #19120624 (same number as above, but maybe another similar switch).

Sounds like a great idea, but I doubt they would do it. This problem does not happen all the time and they would have to let me take the car and try it for a week or so to see if that was the problem.

I am going to contact c4c5specialist to see if he has any ideas.

This problem is about to get me down. About a month ago, another poster asked if an electric top could be converted to a manual operation top. No one answered that they had done it. If it could be done, I might want to go that route.

Unfortunately this sounds like the kind of problem that requires more expertise and perseverance than is commonly found at a typical Chevy dealership.

If this wasn't a warranty issue as well, you would have probably, already taken it to a convertible-top specialty shop. The dealer may have to step up and do just that for you.

Unfortunately, I live in a 100k population town. There would be no top shops around here that would have any idea about one of these tops. The closest large cities are about 150 miles away (Dallas & Oklahoma City).
