I have an 06 C6 auto with F55, 7600 miles. Car has no vibration whatsoever at any speed, tires in excellent condition. When driving at highway speeds if I am on a slight curve and there is a bump or imperfection on the road the steering feels hard to control, feels like the steering wheel moves quickly left/right. Low speeds no effect, going straight, no issue. Any ideas as to what I should get checked?
My 05 got to jumping a little left or right as it crossed pavement seams, truck ruts etc. Alignment corrected several out of spec settings, car drives 100% normal again.
If it's what I'm thinking, its a normal thing that can be cured by replacing the shocks with good ones. I did Bilsteins and they are the best $300 I have spent.
Will have to bring to the dealer. It's a CPO vehicle which would then cover any parts that may need replacing. Alignment would be out of pocket, I assume.
Might be a problem, but there is also some intentional feedback into the steering wheel to provide "feel". That can cause the symptoms you describe, especially if only one front wheel hits the bump; it's a matter of degree. Can you compare it to another C6 with the same suspension and tires?

Yea, put Z51 sway bars on it, it will tighten the steering up to less than 1/2 inch play and eliminate body roll, I know and so do many others.
