Default Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger....

At the request of many Corvette Forum members, we have started carrying the brand new Edelbrock E-Force Corvette Supercharger. This is the LS3 versions for the 2008+ Corvettes (not for the Z06 yet, but a kit is in the works).

The Edelbrock Supercharger is good for 554HP without the high flow fuel pump or you can get the 599 HP kit that comes with the upgraded fuel pump. The kit is a low profile supercharger that fits under the stock hood. It is an Eaton-Roots style blower that mounts right on top of the intake manifold and FITS UNDER THE OEM HOOD!

We have two of the 1590 and two of the 1591 Kits (599hp) in stock and ready to ship.

More info below...

Edelbrock Corvette Supercharger

Would love to see someone install one of these!!!!

Supposedly, the installation is "very easy"

Jim

Saw this on TV this afternoon - - looks like another high quality Edelbrock component - - pricey, but you've got an attractive promo price.

This is the one big mod that really temps me as my car gets older - - it really adds some giddy-up . . .

Nice system. I might have gone this way had it been around two years ago. Could have saved a little money.

WOW, that's a serious bump in horsepower at a very good price.

this looks like something you might be able to install yourself. Is this the case? I take it the power train warranty will be voided, does it come with one?

Can someone help me out here. I read that the LS 9 is not the same block as the LS 3, same dimentions, but the 9 has more beef to it. I also assume that the 9 has mor beefy pistons, rods and crank as well as upper components. So I'm wondering if adding a supercharger to an LS 3 would require stronger pistons, rods and crank. Also would it need headers and who knows what else. I come from the belief that the system needs to be in balance. So am I off thinking that just by adding a supercharger that everything else would be OK?

My understanding is the Edelbrock warranty is available as an extra purchase from them. However the catch is, an authorized Edelbrock installer (not retailer/dealer) must install the kit and arrange for the warranty purchase.

Also, I'm not 100% certain but I believe the warranty is only available for an otherwise stock car; I doubt they'd care about exhaust, but no H/C or otherwise internal mods.

Kinda curious about the warranty specifics myself..

I installed mine back in April in my garage. As long as you stay away from the higher horsepower version which requires a fuel pump change the rest of the install is pretty straightforward if you have good mechanical skills.

Install instructions are here... http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...ranty_Form.pdf

Just about anything you add to the stock configuration these days that alters the performance puts you "at risk" with the GM warranty. Here is the supplemental warranty that Edelbrock offers... http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...ranty_Form.pdf

That looks very enticing.
I credit the new LS3 products to the high production Camaro SS.
We are all going to benefit from new LS3 products due to the larger installed user base.

This design looks VERY nice function wise. My only complaint is how ugly the intake manifold / plastic wings look.

It's simple enough to leave the "cast aluminum" Edelbrock covers sitting at home on the shelf (takes about 2 seconds to remove them) if they aren't to your liking. They are strictly for cosmetic effect and cover all of the plumbing. Same idea as the OEM fuel rail covers.

So can anyone answer the question as to whether or not the rest of the LS3 can handle the extra stress, let alone the rest of the car?

Also that warranty has some total $ limits that may not really get you there. For example, tranny only up to $1500 and engine up to $5000. I doubt a rebuild will get done for those numbers.

This has to be the cleanest looking SC kit out for the C6 right now. I think a Stock LS2/LS3 would hold up fine with the 550hp kit assuming vigilant maintenance.

This system is going to give the others a run for it's money. Edelbrock has been around forever and they do their homework first so you know it's going to be a nice thought out system. Fitting under the stock hood is icing on the cake. I know the LS2 version is due anytime now, I wonder if this will work on the LS1 as well.

So if you do blow the motor, what's it gonna cost to rebuild it?

The LS2 version is out now and lists the same HP as the LS3 version.
