I have a 08 vert that has less than 6100 miles on it. Bone stock, has aftermarket exhaust cans only (Borla Stingers) for about 1 month with no issues. CEL light came on around a fill up with 93 octane. I checked the cap based on some research, seems to be on correctly. I am thinking about taking to autozone, but where exactly do they hook up a scanner for the code?

The scanner hooks up right under the knee bolster under the steering wheel. The issue is likely the gas cap wasn't tightened properly, since it happend right after a fill.

They also sell those OBD2 handheld scanners at autozone, they are about $60, a good investment for anyone looking to diagnose, fix and erase cel's
