I was wondering what you guys have done with the flap that hangs down from the cargo shade. I have a partition and the flap just gets in the way. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful. I dont want to pin the flap or anything like that because I dont want to risk scratching my top when I store it in the back. Thanks guys
I was going to do that also, until I started thinking about all the weird things that happen when stuff flys around the car in an accident. Could be dangerous.
Instead, I used split shot on a piece of fishing line, inside the bottom seam of the flap. Needed a lot of shot to stop the flapping, so then the shade would sag somewhat and the hatch wanted to creep closed when loading luggage.
Finally I went back to stock and just let my flap... flap.

Just flip it around so the flap is in the back instead of front. With the partition, you don't need the flap anymore at all.
Instead of bar stock, because of the weight and I was worried about how it might stretch the flap material, I went to Home Depot in the garden section. There you will find 6 foot plastic barbed 1/8 poles used for holding plants upright. I cut the length to leave a couple of inches open on each side of the flap. It sides down and stays in front of the roof panel holders. Works great.
