tire pressure censor warning HELP ADVICE

Default tire pressure censor warning HELP ADVICE

tire censor light is coming on and tire is fine. can i take the censors out and have no light thrown on the cluster or do i need to fix the censor? advice and any help would be appreciated, thanks

What car do you have?

By the way a censor is someone who edits your post for content. A sensor detects things. The tire pressure sensor measures tire pressure.

Check all tire pressure. Did you just swap tires out or something? If that were the case they have to be reprogrammed. Sensors do go bad, but it takes a while. Not sure if you can disable the tpms, but thats not such a good idea. I would guess you can, but why?

If it is the sensor, it will cost about $50. Go to a tire store and have them first try and reprogram the sensors. It's takes about a minute to do all 4 tires with a hand held device. Otherwise the active handling system will be affected if you do not correct the problem.

Actually, you can't - in a C6 (don't know what the OP drives)
