Default Console Cushions

A bunch of us will be cruising down to Carlisle on August 27.

I will be looking for some interior upgrades, one of which is a leather padded console cover. I have seen various ones from DSVettes, but one in particular from TKO has caught my eye.

Has anyone had any experience with this one? How does the quality compare to others? Can it be opened fully, or will it hit the passenger seat?

Thanks,

MG....

That's the one I have.
For $100, it's actually very nice; and it's soft.

It get's installed over the existing.
It's easy to put on, you just have to take your time & stretch it as much as possible to eliminate any wrinkles.
I've had mine for 3 years & it's been great.

It opens just fine.
However, because of the added thickness of the leather & padding, the latch doesn't snap closed.
That doesn't really bother me.

As nice as it is, I'll probably replace it someday with a DS Vettes console lid.
Their work & quality are 2nd to none, and worth the extra cost.
I got my shifter & e-brake handles and boots from them.
.

Hi
Its a nice upgrade. I snapped that picture of my car. I do like the way it looks and feels. Goes/matches the ribs in the seats. Installation is a snap. The price just puts it over the top.

We will have them at Carlisle if your interested. ID 78 & ID 79
Feel free to email me/pm with colors..etc for us to bring.
I'm on a mini getaway so I'll be in the shop Wednesday If you need me.
Take care

Ed

I had one like that Titanium in our 2006, now a Cashmere in our 2009. Purchased from Mid America. Excellent.

Check that the seams are running exactly crosswise before you snug things down, it's hard to tell when the unit is out of the car.

I added some 1/8" firm foam padding (yoga mat, I think) under the cover for extra elbow comfort.

You can also get a matching storage bag that fits on the rear of the console, we've had two of those also.
