Road trip??
One tip I can give you;
bring along some swiffer dusters, Adams waterless car wash and some microfiber towels. When you stop at rest areas use the waterless car wash to remove the bugs from the grill and windshield using a microfiber waffle towel, this way the car will not be plastered by the time you finish your trip. If you don't hit rain on the way there you will be able to use the swiffers to dust off the car and then you can go over the entire car with the waterless car wash. Preferably early in the morning or at dusk, not in intense sunlight.
Oh yeah, a few good coats of Zaino before you leave won't hurt either.
I have stayed right next to the Marriot. It is not a downtown hotel and is in a nice area with a large open parking area. The hotel is not in Baltimore, but a suburb. Although the Marriot is a high rise building, the area has many other low rise motels/hotels near it. Just park it in the far corner of the parking lot. You and the car will be fine.
They're gonna pay you your pay rate for your time and they're going to pay you mileage on top of that and you get to spend a couple of days...there and back...driving your Vette. And you're worried about getting it rained on and putting 1,100 miles on it?
My advice is to take that Vert off the jackstands in you garage and give it a workout across Ohio and West Virginia to get to Baltimore. Believe me, your car will thank you for the brisk romp on the road.
But then, I buy my cars to drive and take road trips. YMMV.

And, get a Griot's collapseable bucket. You can always find a place to hand wash while on a road trip.

Also ask them about washing the car...some hotels have an area available with a hose (you can bring your own washing stuff) or they can tell you if a self car wash is in the area.
Take the Vette and have a fun ride!!!
Most Marriotts that I have been to have secure parking.
