Very simply put...NO. He did not show up. However, I did run 5 times and was pleasantly surprised. The first time I had a reaction time of .2375 and a ET of 8.3409. It got better each time and the last time I ran it was a reaction time of .0018 and a ET of 8.130. I keep the Traction Control ON each run and I had OEM Goodyear Runflats with 16,000 miles on them. Air Temp was 95 and it was very humid. The last run was with the AC on. (forgot to shut it off) This is a amazing car..... I put in S and let it Rippppppp.
:rofl As in your original thread I banked on him not "walking the walk" I saw another one today at a local Camaro /all car show.Looks good but nothing special.Good for you for showing up
Which track did you run? I'm looking for a 1/4 mile track get some numbers on my car...I'm in Waynesville, NC
The track I ran at was called Northeast Raceway and it is in Hertford, NC. It is a 1/8 mile track. Our car club had exclusive use of it today. It was our annual pig roast and picnic. Grrrreat time.
Sounds like a fun outing. Our club has rented a strip for the club to use during the Hot Springs Corvette Weekend. But it's 1/8 mile also. I just can't get excited about 1/8 mile drag strips.
Everything in my head about performance numbers is from 1/4 mile tracks.

Edit: Just realized where you are in NC. These might be too far east for you.
Thanks for the info...but, I don't race my Vert. Most tracks won't let Verts run. In this case is was our car club, First Flight Cruisers on the Outer Banks that had exclusive use of this track for the day and we combined it with our annual picnic. One of the Old Timers just bought a 2002 Mecury Marauder that is very fast. And, he said he was faster than me. I told him since our picnic was in a couple weeks we could settle it. He did NOT show up....Anyway, I had a ball racing it even though it was only a 1/8 mile track. I had the ONLY Vette there and they were amazed at how fast it was and at MY reaction time. I did race ONE car....a 2007 Chrysler 300 Hemi...if you want to call it a race.
The only thing I wonder about is if I could have done better if I took the traction control off.
Nice going. You should have tried a run of so with the TC off I believe you would have seen an improvement once you got used to it, and how to feather the throttle with wheelspin.
