Default NCM Membership?

I thought that when you bought a new Corvette, you got a one year membership to the museum. Is this true? If so, what do I have to do to get it? I never received any information.

Thanks!

Should be a sign up card in the owner's manual or somewhere in the information packet.

I went back and looked... go the DVD, XM packet, Onstar packet, window sticker, manual, and that's about it... nothing on the museum. I'll probably just have to give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

I believe the one-year NCM membership is only for those who choose the NCM delivery option. Obviously, anyone can pay to join, but the free membership is included only in the NCM delivery.

Either way, the NCM membership is well worth it for any Corvette owner.

I had a 2005 and 2007. Both times I did get a 1yr. free membership. I don't remeber mailing anything to them. Try your dealer or call the NCM. Good luck with the new car.
Just wanted to add my cars were not delivered to the NCM, I picked both cars up at the dealership. There is a member of the forum, Geoff something, I can't think of the last name but if he reads your post I'm sure he'll be able to get you the answer.

Its Geoff Allen or Talon90 who could get you the correct answer

I'm pretty sure that the only way to get a free one year membership is to order the R8C Museum Delivery, unless your dealer has some special arrangement to offer it as well.

What you might be confusing it with is that every new purchaser of a Corvette used to get a complimentary subscription to a (very good) magazine called Corvette Quarterly. But they've since been discontinued, as I checked recently when I purchased my new Grand Sport.

I don't know about now, but my '08 owner's portfolio contained a mail-in post card for a "Free One-year Trial Membership to the National Corvette Museum". I know this because I'm sitting here looking at it now, it was still in there.

Well, I can't remember how it happened but I did get a free Museum membership. I saved the email from the Museum for my renewal last year. Here's the contact person if you want it:

You may reach me at 1-800-53-VETTE. Again, thank you for the support you have given the National Corvette Museum .

Best regards,

In your owners documentation packet that came with the car you should find a mail in card for a one year membership to the NCM. One is supposed to come with every new Corvette. It is not exclusive to museum delivery cars. It should be inside the back cover of the owners manual.

If you don't have one for some reason, just give Stephanie a call at the NCM at 1-800-53-VETTE.

Learn something everyday. I was not aware of a free membership to NCM just by buying a new vette. My last two vettes were NCM delivered so I got a multi-year free membership anyway.

I rec. one in with the owner's manual of the ZR1 but not with the GS. They said one should come with every new
Corvette but no one seems to know much about it.

I sent in the postcard when I got my '09 and got the 1 free year. I just re-up'ed for another 5 years and got a real nice welcome package. Glad I did it.

Default NCM Membership

It's my understanding the one year membership and a year's subscription to Corvette Quarterly comes with any new Corvette, regardless of delivery. I ordered my GS and took delivery at the Dealer in June, and all that info was included in my packet with the Owner's Manual, NAV and welcome DVD's etc. i filled it all out and mailed it in a week or two later, but as of today, haven't heard anything back yet. I'll check my paperwork and see what it says.
