Unless you absolutely need a back seat its a down grade big time. I know a guy who did it and he wasnt really impressed with the handling or speed of his new ride.

I agree. It tried one out yesterday. A 2011 SS. I was not impressed at all. The car has 26 more HP than my vette but did not feel like it and did not handle near as well. I also thought the instrument panel looked cheap. The Camaro is more of a "hot rod" I think and not a sports car.

I am fairly close to getting my wife a V6 RS 1LT. 28K + tax, lisc etc. She just needs a test drive and it will happen.
BUT, that gives us a vette, a extended cab 4x4 and a camaro.
we have a 14yr old daughter - so (with daughters friends etc) she finds herself driving the truck a lot

I drove the V8 SS and the V6 one and was disappointed. The V6 one was actually more fun to drive. Visibility is really crappy out of them, not that that would stop me from buying one. I think the Vette ruins us as far as performance. It felt doggy to me. Beautiful looking car though, they really did a nice job on how it looks. The V6 handled much better in the corners. In the V8 one the suspension always felt like it was behind me and what I was doing like it was always trying to catch up.

Returning the Camaro SS to the dealer after 16k miles they are buying it back for what I paid - There was several items wrong with the car and most of the issues stem from Service not necesarily the car itself - Now I did enjoy the car a good bit but I can now buy a slightly used c6 z06 for what I paid for the Camaro.

I got to drive my buddies SS with the A6, nowhere near what our 09 C6 A6 as far as handling and power goes, the seats are better than ours and I would not go from our Vette to a Camaro

Big mistake.

I drive one as a demo and I think you would be very sorry after a short while.
