My 09 had the pull down option from factory and its great, push it down till it clicks and let the vette do the rest, my 04 could be a real pain if not paying attention when you closed it.

I don't understand that either. My 2010 GS has the pull-down feature, why wouldn't they all have this? Are you shutting it right? You have to shut it gently, and let the motor do the rest.
