not to be a 'Debby downer" but took a 5 hour trip today and the wife wanted to drive. Sat in the passenger seat for about an hour and that was enuf for me. The leg room is way to short for me (I'm only 5-11"). The seat seems the same but the over-all room seems smaller to me???? maybe its all in my head. BTW, branson is beautiful this time of year. Be safe out there
It's just you I guess. Move the seat back, there should be plenty of room.
I'm 5'11" too and my feet barely hit the back of the footwell when I let my girl drive.

The footwell on the passenger side is shorter than the one on the driver's side....there is the fuse box, amp etc under there...so there is definitely a little less space on that side.

Strangely, I felt somewhat the same as the OP, so when you mentioned the footwell difference, I decided to measure.
You are so correct, but it's not a big difference, though still enough to notice. There's not an easy way to compare, so take this with an open mind. It seemed to be 1 to 1.5" extra legroom when measured from the doorjamb latch to the dead pedal (which fairly well matches the gas pedal) than the similar location on the passenger side.
I do let my wife drive for longer than an hour when were on a long road trip. We switch once each day unless we get some mountain twisties. Then I drive and she prays while waiting for straighter roads.
Should feel roomier on the passenger side... there's no steering wheel!
But I agree, there's less legroom on the passenger side.
ESPECIALLY when the cruise is engaged and you can stretch the legs past the deadpedal and the brake pedal. It may just be me tensing up cuz the wiff drives me nuts when she drives
