paddle shifting

paddle shifting

i use my paddles all the time and when i come to a complete stop the transmission is into second gear and thats what i start out in . does anybody else do this or do you shift into first??

That is what I do as well, unless I want a "jack rabbit" start

I leave it in 2nd. I've also noticed I could upshift again and start out in 3rd if I wanted.

I usually downshift to first unless I'm just idling along in a 'parade'.

I usually start out in 2nd unless one of the following cars is sitting next to me at a traffic light....

Camaro
Mustang
Vette
Challenger
Muscle car

Then I downshift to first.
