Sometimes when washing the car the radio is on with door open and all you here is the chime over the radioQUOTE=JimTN;1575266580]Disconnect the radio. The radio does the chiming and that's the only easy way to shut it off.
Perhaps you need to solve the actual problem and find out why it's chiming. When is it chiming?[/QUOTE]
Other forum members here who show their cars like to leave a door open. There's a part of the door latch that you can manipulate while the door is open to make the car "think" the door is closed. Do a search or wait for someone else to respond.
EDIT: Okay, see if some of the information in this thread will help.

Jim is correct, but closing the door without manually re-positioning the latch mechanism may cause damage. Until we know for sure, I'd put a big flag on the latch as a reminder.

On the Nav radios if you select "OFF" for the auto-volume feature, (useless anyway) it turns the DIC chime volume down significantly so it is not a bother. Not sure if that trick works the Bose 6 CD unit or base unit.

Non-NAV chime has 2 volumes: loud and louder.
2006 owner's manual, page 3-101:
Chime Level Adjustment
The radio is used to adjust the vehicle’s chime level.
To change the volume level of the chime, press and hold
pushbutton 6 with the ignition on and the radio power
off. The volume level will change from the normal
level to loud, and LOUD will appear on the radio display.
To change back to the default or normal setting,
press and hold pushbutton 6 again. The volume level
will change from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL
will appear on the radio display. Only one chime will
be heard when changing from the normal to the
loud setting. Each time the chime volume is changed,
three chimes will sound as an example of the new
volume selected. Removing the radio and not replacing
it with a factory radio or chime module will disable
vehicle chimes.
