07 ZO6 Hatch Button problem

Default 07 ZO6 Hatch Button problem
I have 07 ZO6 with 5900 hundred miles on it and for some reason my rear hatch button on the rear fascia stopped working. I haven't tried anything yet or checked to make sure that it hasen't come unplugged. It worked fine the other day and when I went to use it today it would not work. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what they did to fix it.

Talon90 did a step-by-step writeup in one of the links JimTN posted above - basically the switch gets dirty inside and stops working until you clean it.

Also remember that the fob must always be in front of the trunk when you push the button, whether the car is locked or not.
