Yeah, I've seen these on a new 2011 at my local dealer. Personally, I think they look terrible. The machined face ones, especially, look like they're cheap magazine-order wheels for some kid's Honda.
Kerbeck's wedsite has a base coupe and it says in the ad that there are new wheels. That is what is confusing. Has anyone out there ordered a 2011 with base wheels?
Did GM actually do any consumer testing on this wheel before bringing it out? Because the general consensus on here seems to be that we think it's ugly, so chances are good that most of the potential 2011 Corvette buyers will feel the same. At least the GS, Z06 and ZR1 all still have amazing looking wheels (maybe that's GM's intent, pushing people into the more expensive models by making the base model wheels ugly?)

They are the worst wheels on a Corvette since the infamous "Wagon Wheels". They look like a cheap wheel from a Discount Tire wheel ad (most of theirs are low dollar cheapies).

Have to disagree Jim.....these things make the wagons look like a set of $10k HRE's.
I've actually thought about it,and I can't think of an uglier wheel EVER on a performance car.
If yes, then it is showing the New Design Wheels on the car in the ad.
Yes I was. However, if you go to www.corvette.com, they show the old split style wheel when you click on the standard wheel in the price your own vehicle section.

My wife says my taste is all in my feet, but...
I think the GS wheels look nearly as bad as the original 1997 wagon wheels. I'm also not sure very many people will buy or not buy a new Corvette because of the wheel appearance.
OTOH, our 2009 came with chrome Gumbys and I thought they looked awful. After learning that they are forged instead of cast, and slightly lighter/stronger than the various other "base" C6 wheels, I kinda like them.
BTW, thanks for browsing in the C6 section, nice to have informed people with other vintages post in here.
