Ok, so I am bored and have a few beers in me. It's a Friday night and in Milwaukee, what did you expect? We still think we are the beer capital of the world. Anyway, we all have posted video's of cars going fast, on the track or on the strip. What I want to hear is your "blower whine". All you supercharged freaks, let's hear um. Whether your at idle in your driveway or at the track, let's see who whistles the loudest.
My recently installed E-Force is very quiet as blowers go. Hard to tell anything is under there at idle and it's not loud under full throttle. It does however completely ROAST my tires in 1st through 3rd. So much so I'm waiting for new CCW's and 325 Invo's in hopes of getting some traction.....

Post up!
I'm with the OP, If I'm going to spend the $ to S/C my Z ,I WANT to know it's there. I guess my 1970"s youth is showing through. Never heard a supercharged car at the drags I didn't like. To those who think the sweet sound of a supercharged motor sounds like a motor with a bad water pump, well that's
Well, I'm what one member here refers to as an "old gummer" being as how I'm 60 years old. Being that old I get turned on by different things than younger men. For example, women with tatoos ( I don't even sat "tats". ) turn me off....same with piercings. You young men proly ( did I spell that right" ) get hot over ink and metal etc.
I like to listen to Saturn V launches and static tests of the first stage F1 engine. Some of you might have to google to find out what a Saturn V was. The most powerful machine every built. That's what.
For automotive sounds I like four barrel carburetors ( yah, I'm that old ) like Holley or Q Jets ( google again ) at full WOT on a 396 or 427. The cars were not nearly as fast as a C6 or even a C5....but the induction pulses were so sweet it's impossible to describe.
As for supercharger whine I guess it's an acquired taste. I don't associate it with big powerful cars but with little cars and little engines that need the SC to make power. I will say this though, from vids I've seen of the ZR-1 on the track I'd have to say it sounds very good even compared to the old big blocks.
Now I need to put my dentures back in so I can have a snack.
Check out the Saturn V on youtube. 1.5 million pound thrust per each of the five mainstage engines. No supercharger required though each engine had a turbopump for propellants that rated something like 60,000 hp + ( each engine had one so about 300,000 hp just pumping fuel ).
Us boomers like our power raw and our food soft.

I'm with you! I like my women soft; no ink, no metal. However, don't you remember how great the lope of what we called a "3/4 Race" cam sounded.........

I added these to my hood! NOT much whine but massive power!
