Thanks for the heads-up. I tuned in shortly after you posted. Currently the BMW is featured. I didn't realize the BMW used a 2 cycle engine. At least that is what the animation they keep showing demonstrates with a spark every time the cylinder reaches TDC. I guess National Geo is similar to the History channel where cinematics always take precedent over facts.
I had the pleasure of meeting one of the assemblers that was featured on that show during my recent Buyer's Tour (they guy talking about the brakes in the show). He was coming off the line during a break period....he saw my guide and I talking in one of the aisles...he came over to us and asked us to "wait there a sec...". He disappeared back to his work area (unaccessible to me) and returned a minute later. He had noticed that I had a small collection of my car's build sheets in my hand, he noted my sequence number and went back into his area and got me my suspension, brake and transmission sheets. A great random act of kindness! I recognized him from the show and he shared "yeah, it was my 15 minutes of fame!" Great guy, and great tour....and great show if you can't make it there in person!
Now, how many of you can point out a big error? Someone else on this site actually found it. Since my 5 year old son watches it A LOT it wasn't hard to find the error. I'll chime in later if someone doesn't notice it.
