Is there any kind of reprogramming or tunning available for the automatic c6 to make the paddle shifts more responsive and decrease shift times?
Yes! I noticed that you're from VA. I had mine tuned by Ed at Virginia Speed. They're located in Virginia Beach. I've been very happy with the results.

Sounds great im excited to hear more about this, will it make my car shift as quickly as an F1 car? HAHAHAHA LOL, j/k but seriously just something a bit more responsive than factory would make me happy! The paddle shifts are a blast but they feel slightly sluggish and delayed response

Search this forum.... You're gonna find tons of people who are really happy with the performance of the automatic after I'm finished with it.
My tune has been in 1,000's of A6 cars over the years and it COMPLETELY changes the car.
Driveability goes up BIG TIME and the car becomes way more RESPONSIVE.
Call me and I'll tell you more about it.

is there any way to measure the shift time before and after the Tune to see what kind of difference is made? obviously its not going to be as quick as even a dual cluctch transmission used in GTRs M3's or ferrari's but it would be cool to know just how far off a properly tuned 6speed paddle shift automatic is from a fancy dual clutch paddle shift transmission
