I have tried the search option on this matter and I have tried several times to reset the window settings. None of those options have worked. Now here's the problem. The window goes up and down just fine. The problem I am having is getting the window to "seat" at the very top every time I want it to. If i have my window down and pull up to a convenience store and before I kill the motor, I try and roll the window up. It will go up but it stops about a 1/8 to 1/4 of a inch short.
When it stops short like that, it also causes the door not to open. Before this really started happening allot, I noticed that when I would get out of the car, the window would go up and down real fast. The up and down was only about the top inch and a half of the traveling length of the window. I know there is a name for this window movement. so I have hell getting out the door. It seems like, the window goes up to the very top allot easier if i am moving.Like I said I have tried to reset the window etc.. My question is: Has any one else had this problem and if so, what did it take to fix it? Its very frustrating.
Have you done this to re-index your windows (Owners Manual pg 2-17)?
Power Window Initialize
After a power reconnect such as battery replacement,
the window index-up feature will not function until
the system is initialized. Once power is restored,
do the following:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch.
3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the
window is closed. Release the switch.
4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds
and release.
Thanks for the responses. I have tried many times to re-index the window with no sucess. The touch pad is a interesting diagnoisis. When the touch pad starts acting up, does it cause the problems I described?
The continuous up/down implies a bad door switch pad....either clean or replace...Here's the TSB on it...

Does anyone know of any history in the C6 model with the Window motor in the drivers side door going bad within 35,000 miles. Also, I have already had the column Lock go bad and needed to be replaced. Can anyone offer any history if these problems have occurred elsewhere and what they may have learned?
