An Electronics?Battery Question
Back when I owned a C5, some folks had batteries leak down on the computer components/electronics. Many bought gel type battereis to avoid this problem.
Does the same problem exist with the C6?

Problem with the C5's is most of them used side terminal batteries, that were known to corrode and leak. Switching to the Optima's that are actually top terminal batteries with side terminals grafted on with large metal strap's, solved this. All C6's use factory top terminal batteries, so generally not a problem. I say generally, because any battery can crack and leak, but is more of a fluke kind of thing.

Some C5 batteries did leak and the problem was the PCM was situated directly below it and got blasted by the acid. On my C5 I put a battery pad under it just in case but never had a problem. I have not seen any battery leak issues on CF for the C6s that I can recall.
