I've seen this posted before but haven't had much luck finding the solution. As everyone knows hitting the front lower bumper air damn etc. on curbs and other things can drive someone crazy. I have yet to find a FRONT end not rear end, scrape sensor that is either a light, a distance sensor or camera that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. Anyone have an suggestions as to where to find this type of device. Thank You. Gerson.
Lol, what for? If you see an incline, it's going to scrape.
Well here is a great application for it, if you drive up to your driveway before the front air dam scraped, the sensor could warn you so you could stop in time and instead parallel park on the street at night instead of your garage.
Thank you for the link. The other guys aren't clear that I don't care about the air damn itself but the front bumper and crashing it against things. I will check out this sensor and probably order it today. I think this is the solution. Thanks
Yeah, I can empathize. My C6 is bad enough, but as for my C4....well, I dont know how ANYBODY can tell, from the drivers seat, where the front of a C4 is.
My Lincoln SUV has proximity sensors. Pretty useful at times.

2 days ago I pulled into a spot with a concrete curb. It appeared that the curb was low enough that it wouldn't hit the bumper but I parked what I considered to be way back just in case. When I got out and looked the bumper was low enough it would have hit and I had stopped less than an inch before hitting it.
The secret seems to be just double park in the street.
If GM is listening, you have the technology. Make this standard at least for the front in the future. The rear is OK since it appears much closer than it actually is.

I'm gonna have to take a little sandpaper to the bottom of mine. Every time I take off the car cover there's a little lint hanging from it from where I roughed up the bottom on a curb.
