is it possible to have memory seats enabled in a 2LT model?
can a module just be added or programmed or does the package in the 3LT require significant additional parts or changes to the seat positioning system?
I don't know for certain the answer to your question but I'd be willing to bet that it wouldn't be a simple procedure. At the very least, you'd need to add the buttons on the driver's door and the memory module; in all likelihood, you'd need to change the in-door and under-seat wiring, too. How much would have to be changed beyond that is anyone's guess.
The 1LT & 2LT cars have a completely different main wiring harness than the 3LT & 4LT cars. I would imagine that adding the memory option to a 1 or 2LT car could be done if one were willing to spend a whole lot of money to do it. You'd have to rewire the car, & buy a new driver's door panel with the memory control. Additionally, I don't know if it would work without adding the telescoping steering column (that's part of the memory recall as are the settings on the Bose radio which 1 & 2LT cars don't have). I think that it would be a real can of worms.
very good. don't want to open a can of worms, just wanted to understand the depth of the mods.
I have another vehicle that came without factory remote start, and having it added (factory) only required having two small electronics modules to be added and replacing the key fobs.
wasn't sure how much of the requirements for this might already be in place, sounds like not very easy.
