Transmission leaking

My C6 has 23k miles and I noticed about an ounce of what I believe is transmission fluid on my garage floor today. I am wondering if this may be a seal or gasket going bad? I haven't noticed any leaks ever. Has this happened to anyone? I have a 2005 A4 vert.

If it's coming from the rear end of the car, it is either trans fluid or rear gear oil. Red and no strong smell is Trans. Golden color and stronger sulphur smell and thicker is gear oil. Wipe it with a paper towel and see what color comes up.

Sounds like coolant. Trans is in the back !!

Unless you have a cooler line leak ????

I assume that you are describing TRANSMISSION COOLANT HOSES, I have had the transmission coolant hoses leak up front on a C6 A6. Not the radiator coolant hoses, the fluid in the A6 radiator is also red color, I think you had better make sure which it is and look under the car. I have a transmission problem now from a leak at 1200 miles and I have 50K now. I have a complaint in with GM now with my extended warranty.
