After having a bolt kick up from the road, go through the grill opening and puncture my A/C condenser, I decided to add a little protection. I don't really like the screens that attach from the front so I went with this one...
Actually it was pretty easy, but I did it at a friends house...he has a lift. I don't think it would be that hard without a lift, but you will have to at least drive up on some ramps or something. It comes from GM in stainless finish and I decided to paint it satin black so it wouldn't be so visible. If you like it black, I would recommend powder coating as I have already had to touch up the paint a little.
What was the cost on the GM one? I don't like any of the "Replacement" grills - And LOVE that it fits behind the stock grill (Which I LOVE the stock black grill...)
I did that on my Honda Fit using some mesh gutter guard and black zip ties. I never thought about doing it to my Vette. But I do have plenty of gutter guard left.

Noooooooo, DON'T DO IT man, not GUTTER GUARD on a Vette for a grille - YIKES!!!
