Forgive me if this has been previously discussed. I am on the second set of tires on my 08 coupe and am beginning to wonder if all run flats are leaky? The original Goodyear's leaked and now the Firestone's are leaking....5-6 psi per week. In both instances they tires and stems were thoroughly checked. As run flats cannot be legally repaired (or so I'm told), I used a can of flat repair on one of the Goodyears and that helped considerably. Any one else out there experiencing this problem?

Are the leaks coming with the stock wheels or aftermarkets? I've got the stock wheels on my '07 and haven't lost any air in 4 years with either the Factory supplied GY or the replacements GY's.
I've lost a few psi over a period of months from all 4 tires. Nowhere near 5-6psi per week obviously. That isn't right that you are losing that much air per week. Is your car exposed to large differences in outside temperatures?

Are you saying all 4 wheels are leaking? That is definitely not normal. Even one wheel leaking is not normal. What tire shop are you going to? I suspect your tires are not being installed/seated correctly.
My tire pressures hold, just have to adjust for temperature variations. I check my tires about once a month, more often in Spring and Fall. Add or subtract about two pounds, yes when temperatures climb tire pressures increase. The change is about one pound for every five degrees of temperature change.
I've had my car for 4 year's now and never found the run flat's to act any different air wise than my other car's. Had the dealer replace the rear's a few year's ago, and still no leakage problem's. Also, not sure where you heard about not repairing a run flat, as several forum member's have done it with a proper plug and interior patch done by a tire dealer. Think the official factory policy is having this done no more than twice on a single tire, though.

If it was just one wheel I would say its most likely the wheel but being all 4 sounds like someone isn't mounting them correctly.
Whoever would have thought to tighten the valve stems???? Thanks to all of you who shared your knowledge. All of my valve stems were very loose (the girl friend suspects a few other things as well)...tightened them up to 60 pounds....problem solved!
