How do I hook up the direct wire for a Battery Tender Plus without losing settings? IE clock & other settings?

There is a device youy can buy that uses a 9V battery to save your settings while disconnecting the battery. It plugs right into the cigarette lighter. You can buy them at most automotive store like Pep Boys.

You don't need to disconnect the battery.

There are small bolts / nuts right off the battery terminals that I connected mine to. Been using it this way for 1.5 years with no issues.

Some do the positive terminal by the fuse box and a grounding source away from the battery but I just hooked mine direct.

It's pretty straight forward. Good luck

My battery tender has this

which I connect to the battery. The other end is a quick connect/disconnect that plugs into the actual tender itself. Never need to remove the battery.

Use the remote post @ fuse box. wont disable battery when nut is removed. No interuption of power to memory items.
