I tried to close my garage door yesterday with the Home Link Transmitter in my 05 Corvette. It is a factory installed Home Link. I get no lights on the three button control pad on the sun visor, nothing. I checked the Owner's Manuel for a listing for a fuse for the Home Link and did not see one. I also tried a search with no luck. Any one have a idea what's wrong?
I'm assuming that you've set it up previously and that it's worked . . . that being the case, there's not much in thec ar that generally goes wrong.
Have you tried just reprogramming the unit? It's a pain, but if you follow the manual- pretty straight forward. With our garage units, weather, storms, power interruptions all seem to play a fector - -hence- a hardwired outdoor keypad.
Yes, I had two garage doors programed and it worked fine since I got the car last year. One of the first things I thought of was to reprogram. However, pushing the buttons I get nothing, no red light or anything. I know it strange. I have and have had several other GM cars with the Home link and never had any problems.
Once I put in a new fuse everything worked find. Did not need to reprogram the home link. I should add that visually I could not tell that the fuse was bad except that it looked dusty. Might have been corrosion. Don't know why that would be.
